In Romania, the interest in developing relations between the governmental and nongovernmental sectors increased appreciably over the last two decades due to the quickly retrieving models for addressing sectorial partnerships developed internationally. Social partnership is a modern form of developing and implementing social policies in areas such as social inclusion, social services and employment, social economy and solidarity.

Last year, in 2011, The National Agency for Mineral Resources – ANRM, granted the american Chevron several licenses for exploring shale gases reserves from Romanian territory. For now, Chevron holds license for 2500 km2 in south of Dobrogea, (EX-17 Costinesti perimeter, EX-18 Vama Veche perimeter and EX-19 Adamclisi) and another one in Barlad. Chevron announced last year that it will begin boring in the second half of 2012. Meanwhile, other companies expressed their interest for shale gases in Romania: OMV Petrom (for Bihor area), MOL and Sterling Resources.

The project “The forest as a factor for reducing greenhouse gases emissions – case study Topoloveni” aims to approach the durable forest management theme and the responsible consumption of forest products, certificated through the connection between forests and climate changes. The project includes theoretical and practical activities which targets the awareness and the accountability of local communities and the increase of participation degree from their behalf. The targeted groups include local communities representatives, of civil society and of authorities with decision power in forest management (students, teachers, local authorities, NGO-s, forestry districts, etc.)

General objective of the project is the increase of social inclusion through the promoting of social dialogue between various social players (social partners, nongovernmental organizations, economic environment representatives, public institutions, citizens).
